Highlights from attending, presenting and contributing to IPWEA 2024 Development Engineering Forum
Watercom is grateful for the opportunity to have presented, contributed and sponsored last week’s 2024 Development Engineering Forum, run by the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) in Newcastle, NSW.
The Forum was held on 14-15 November 2024 and covered a broad range of development engineering topics, including resilient infrastructure, circular economy, urban heat island, subdivision, underground assets, new developments, asset management and more.
Representing Watercom, Hossein Ansari (Technical Manager and Principal Engineer) presented and discussed the latest Climate Change updates in the Australian Rainfall & Runoff (ARR) guidelines, and their implications for the industry. He also offered a sneak peak of some of the major upcoming developments in DRAINS.
One of the highlights of Hossein’s experience at the Forum was his participation in a dynamic panel discussion on sustainability, innovation and development. He also enjoyed engaging with our customers, peers and other industry professionals.
Watercom is proud to have sponsored another year of this seminal event, and we look forward to continuing these collaborations and conversations.
