What is the DRAINS Maintenance Program?
We’re committed to helping engineers design and analyse stormwater drainage systems in the most accurate and reliable way possible using DRAINS.
That’s why we offer our annual DRAINS Maintenance Program for customers with USB and Perpetual Licences. With active Maintenance, customers receive regular software updates, new features and fixes, expert technical software support and access to extra features and options in DRAINS.
We endeavour to keep all DRAINS users up to date and compliant with the latest data, rules and regulations.
My Maintenance program has expired. What do I need to do?
To continue receiving DRAINS updates and support, select from options 1 or 2:
Option 1: Renew Now
Renew your Maintenance program for your existing DRAINS USB or Perpetual Licence(s).
An active Maintenance program entitles you to receive free, regular software updates, new features and fixes, plus full, personalised software support for your DRAINS licences.
Option 2: Trade-in USB for a New Subscription or Perpetual Licence
For a limited time, trade-in your DRAINS USB Licence and receive credit towards an annual subscription to DRAINS or a new Perpetual Licence, plus an exclusive discounted price. Explore all Licensing options here.
All new DRAINS Subscriptions and Licences include all currently available features and modules, as well as software updates and software support.
The DRAINS Maintenance Program’s Terms of Use are as follows:
For DRAINS Perpetual Licences:
- The Maintenance period commences from the date that Watercom issues the Licence to the Licensee.
- Perpetual Licences require continuous annual Maintenance to be supported. Any missed period of Maintenance must be back-dated from the expiry date.
- Perpetual Standalone Licences will continue to work at the last version that the Licensee has installed during an active Maintenance period on the registered device. Licences without active Maintenance cannot be transferred to a new device.
- Perpetual Network Licences will continue to work at the last version that the Licensee has installed during an active Maintenance period on the 5 registered devices per licence. Licences without active Maintenance cannot be transferred to a new device. Additional annually-subscribed devices not renewed each year with active Maintenance will be deactivated. Watercom will guarantee the continued use of an un-Maintained Perpetual Network Licence for only 3 years from the Maintenance expiry date.
For DRAINS USB Licences:
- From 30 June 2023, DRAINS USB licences with an expired Maintenance program for two or more years will no longer be eligible for renewal. And from 30 June 2025, USB Licences that have expired Maintenance for one or more years will no longer be eligible for renewal.
- Instead, users can trade in their USB Licence for credit towards a new DRAINS Subscription or Perpetual Licence. New DRAINS licences include all current available DRAINS features and modules, as well as software updates and software support for the duration of the subscription or active Maintenance program.
